Polymeric compositions which contain a thermoplastic aromatic polyester, preferably polybutylene terephthalate, and a polyester block copolymer having a recrystallization temperature greater than 150 ~C, preferably a thermoplastic elastomer containing aromatic polyester blocks and aliphatic polyester blocks. The ratio of the block copolymer to the aromatic polyester is 0.05:1 to 0.35:1, preferably 0.15:1 to 0.30:1. These compositions are particularly useful as the insulation on hermetic lead wires for use in refrigerant systems.

Compositions polymères renfernant un polyester aromatique thermoplastique, de préférence du polybutylènetéréphthalate et un copolymère bloc de polyester dont la température de recristallisation est supérieure à 150 ·C, de préférence un élastomère thermoplastique renfermant des blocs de polyester aromatiques et des blocs de polyester aliphatiques. Le rapport du copolymère bloc au polyester aromatique se situe entre 0,05 à 1 et 0,35 à 1, de préférence entre 0,15 à 1 et 0,30 à 1. Ces compositions se révèlent particulièrement utiles comme isolants sur les câbles conducteurs étanches utilisés dans les systèmes de réfrigération.
