Polyester fibers having a single-fiber fineness of 0.1 to 1.0 dtex are produced from a polyester polymer obtained by condensation-polymerizing an aromatic dicarboxylate in the presence of a catalyst which comprises a mixture of a titanium compound ingredient (A) comprising a titanium alkoxide and at least one product of the reaction of the titanium alkoxide with a specific carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof and a specific phosphorus compound ingredient (B) and/or comprises a product of the reaction of a titanium compound ingredient (C) with a specific phosphorus compound ingredient (D). The fibers obtained have a satisfactory color tone (low value of b) and stable suitability for false twisting with stretching and are excellent in appearance and performance.

Fibres de polyester possédant une finesse unitaire de 0,1 à 1 dtex et produites à partir d'un polymère de polyester obtenu par polymérisation en condensation d'un dicarboxylate aromatique en présence d'un catalyseur composé d'un mélange d'un ingrédient à base d'un composé de titane (A) comprenant un alkoxyde de titane et au moins un produit issu de la réaction de cet alkoxyde de titane avec un acide ou un anhydride carboxylique spécifique, ainsi que d'un ingrédient à base d'un composé de phosphore spécifique (B) et/ou d'un produit issu de la réaction d'un ingrédient basé sur un composé de titane (C) avec un ingrédient basé sur un composé spécifique de phosphore (D). Les fibres obtenues présentent une tonalité colorée satisfaisante (valeur de b limitée), sont appropriées pour un texturage par fausse torsion associé à un étirage et possèdent un aspect et une qualité excellents.
