The invention concerns polyester filaments and method for manufacturing same. More particularly it concerns a filament made of glycol ethylene polyterephtalate or polynaphtalate having high mechanical properties, and a method for stretching polyester filaments. It is obtained by a stretching process comprising two steps including a first step in which a low stretching ratio is applied, to cause minimal crystallisation of the polymer and, a second step with a high stretching ratio. The global stretching ratio can reach values higher than 12. The filament has in particular an expanded elastic range that enables the improvement of its useful properties, for instance for manufacturing screen printing grids.
La présente invention concerne des filaments en polyester et un procédé de fabrication d'un tel filament. L'invention a plus particulièrement pour objet un filament en polytéréphtalate ou polynaphtalate d'éthylène glycol présentant des propriétés mécaniques élevées, et un procédé d'étirage des filaments en polyester. Il est obtenu par un procédé d'étirage en deux étapes comprenant une première étape dans laquelle un faible taux d'étirage est appliqué, pour provoquer une cristallisation minimale du polymère et, une seconde étape avec application d'un taux élevé d'étirage. Le taux d'étirage global peut atteindre des valeurs supérieures à 12. Le filament présente notamment un domaine élastique élargi qui permet d'améliorer ses propriétés d'usage, par exemple pour la réalisation de grille pour sérigraphie.
