-15- [Abstract of the disclosure] A polyester film having uniform surface and excel- lent running property and transparency is disclosed. Said polyester film is characterized by containing 0.01-5 wt% of porous precipitated silica particles which are coagulates of primary particles having an average particle diameter of 0.01-0.1 µm and have a pore volume of 0.05-0.5 m1/g, a specific surface area of 30-150 m2/g and an average particle diameter of 0.1-0.5 µm.
