A polyester resin film laminated metal sheet for a retortable can stock having excellent resistance to milky change during retort treatment after packing foods and drinks, is obtained by controlling to the optimum range in a relative ratio of density and a residual degree of biaxial orientation of the laminated biaxially oriented polyester resin film consisting of about 10 to about 60 weight % of polybutylene terephthalate and about to 90 weight % of polyethylene terephthalate having a glass transition temperature of about 40 to about 70°C, in the laminate before retort treatment after lamination to one or both sides of a metal sheet covered with a single layer of hydrated chromium oxide or a double layer consisting of an upper layer of hydrated chromium oxide and a lower layer of metallic chromium.
