Disclosed is a composition of matter comprising a polyester and a polycarbonate of 4,4-isopropylidene-diphenol wherein the polyester is produced using an organic derivative of tin as catalyst. The catalyst contains no titanium. By using such a catalyst, the blend does not tend to discolor as is usual when titanium catalysts are used. Prior teachings do not suggest that using tin, in the absence of titanium as a catalyst, overcame the discoloration problem when the polyester is blended with polycarbonate.
