A polyester resin composed mainly of ethylene terephthalate units which has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.6 to 1.3 dL/g, a diethylene glycol content of less than 2.3 mole %, and a total content of monohydroxyethyl terephthalate and bishydroxyethyl terephthalate of 0.005 wt% or below and thereby permits stable feeding of the molten mass of the resin into a compression molding machine over a long period. Thus, the resin is extremely excellent in conveyability and productivity.

Résine de polyester composée principalement d'unités de téréphthalate d'éthylène ayant une viscosité intrinsèque de 0,6 à 1,3 dL/g, une teneur en diéthylène-glycol de moins de 2,3 mole %, et une teneur totale en téréphthalate de monohydroxyéthyle et en téréphthalate de bishydroxyéthyle de 0,005% en poids ou moins, permettant ainsi une alimentation stable de la masse de résine en fusion dans une machine de moulage sous pression sur une longue période. Ainsi, la résine est excellente pour son transfert et pour la productivité.
