A process for producing a polyether polymer which comprises polymerizing a monomer having an oxirane group in the presence of a Lewis base containing no active hydrogen, such as a nitrile compound, cyclic ether compound, or ester compound; and a polyether polymer obtained by the process. Thus, a polyether polymer reduced in the content of crosslinked components is obtained without lowering activity in polymerization.

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un polyéther, consistant à polymériser un monomère comprenant un groupe oxirane en présence d'une base de Lewis ne contenant pas d'hydrogène actif, tel qu'un nitrile, un éther cyclique ou un ester. L'invention concerne également un polyéther obtenu par ce procédé. Ce procédé permet d'obtenir un polyéther dont la teneur en constituants réticulés est réduite sans baisse d'activité de polymérisation.
