The invention discloses a new class of silicone surfactants and their use for the preparation of flexible urethane foam. The surfactants incorporate high molecular weight polyethers prepared with narrower molecular weight distributions than conventional polyethers. These polyethers are prepared using a double metal cyanide (DMC) catalyst. These surfactants are better foam stabilizers than the analogoussurfactants prepared from conventional polyethers.

L'invention porte sur une nouvelle classe de surfactifs au silicone et sur leur emploi pour la préparation de mousse flexible d'uréthane. Dans les surfactifs sont incorporés des polyéthers de masse moléculaire élevée, préparés avec des distributions de masse moléculaire plus étroites, comparativement aux polyéthers classiques. Ces polyéthers sont préparés en présence d'un catalyseur à double cyanure métallique. Ces surfactifs sont de meilleurs stabilisateurs de mousses que les surfactifs analogues préparés à partir de polyéthers classiques.
