L'invention concerne un polyéthylène comprenant des homopolymères d'éthylène et/ou des copolymères d'éthylène avec des 1-alcènes, et ayant une distribution moléculaire massique M¿me?/M¿n? comprise entre 5 et 30, une densité comprise entre 0,92 et 955 g/cm?3¿, une masse moléculaire moyenne en poids M¿me ?comprise entre 50 000 g/mol et 500 000 g/mol, et présentant 0,01 à 20 ramifications/1000 atomes de carbone, et ayant une masse moléculaire moyenne z M¿z? inférieure à 1 Mio. g/mol. L'invention concerne en outre un procédé de préparation de ce polyéthylène, des catalyseurs appropriés pour sa préparation, ainsi que des films dans lesquels ce polyéthylène est présent.
