A microporous polyethylene membrane which is made from a linear ethylene copolymer having a melt index (MI) of less than 0.1 and a propylene unit content of 0.1 to 4 mole % and which has a fusing temperature of lower than 136 ~C; and another microporous membrane which is made from a mixture that comprises a linear ethylene copolymer having a melt index (MI) of less than 0.1 and a propylene unit content of 0.1 to 4 mole % and a high-density polyethylene having a comonomer unit content of less than 0.1 mole % and that has a weight-average molecular weight of 250000 to 700000 and a propylene unit content of 0.1 to 4 mole % and which has a fusing temperature of lower than 136 ~C.

L'invention concerne des membranes microporeuses en polyéthylène, l'une étant à base de copolymère d'éthylène linéaire, à indice de fusion inférieur à 0,1, à contenu unitaire en propylène de 0,1 à 4 en pourcentage molaire et à température de fusion inférieure à 136 ·C.
