An intraocular lens having improved biocompatibility is coated with polyethylene oxide through covalent bonding, preferably using a plasma-deposited amine layer. The lens is then sterilized with ethylene oxide and extracted with water.

Une lentille intraoculaire présentant une plus grande biocompatibilité est recouverte d'oxyde de polyéthylène par liaison covalente, de préférence à l'aide d'une couche d'amine déposée par plasma. La lentille est ensuite stérilisée avec de l'oxyde d'éthylène et extraite avec de l'eau.
