Disclosed is a polyfluoroalkyl alcohol represented by the following general formula: CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cOR (R: H, a (meth)acrylic acid group; n:1-6; a:1-4; b:1-3; c:1-3), or a (meth)acrylic acid derivative thereof. A polyfluoroalkyl alcohol (R: a hydrogen atom) can be produced by reacting a fluoroalkyl iodide represented by the following general formula: CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cI with N-methylformamide, and then hydrolyzing the resulting in the presence of an acid catalyst. A (meth)acrylic acid derivative of such a polyfluoroalkyl alcohol (R: a (meth)acrylic acid group) can be produced by reacting a (meth)acrylic acid with the polyfluoroalkyl alcohol.
La présente invention concerne un polyfluoroalkylalcool représenté par la formule générale suivante : CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cOR (R = H, un groupe acide (méth)acrylique ; n vaut de 1 à 6 ; a vaut de 1 à 4 ; b vaut de 1 à 3 ; c vaut de 1 à 3), ou un dérivé acide (méth)acrylique de celui-ci. Un polyfluoroalkylalcool (R représente un atome d'hydrogène) peut être produit par la réaction d'un iodure de fluoroalkyle représenté par la formule générale suivante : CnF2n+1(CH2CF2)a(CF2CF2)b(CH2CH2)cI avec le N-méthylformamide, et ensuite l'hydrolyse du produit résultant en présence d'un catalyseur acide. Un dérivé acide (méth)acrylique d'un tel polyfluoroalkylalcool (R représente un groupe acide (méth)acrylique) peut être produit par la réaction d'un acide (méth)acrylique avec le polyfluoroalkylalcool.
