ABSTRACT Polyglutarimides exhibit improved optical properties, as well as lowered content of non-aqueous volatiles, when the molten polyglutarimide is mixed with water, methanol, ethanol, or mixtures thereof, and the water, methanol, ethanol, or mixtures thereof is removed prior to isolation and processing of the polyglutarimide.
