Polyimide polymers from 3,4,3',4'-biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride and 3,4,3',4'-benzophenonetetracarboxylic dianhydride and a diamine such as p-phenylenediamine exhibit a high glass transition temperature, high thermal oxidative stability and low moisture regain, useful for structural applications.
Cette invention se rapporte à des polymères polyimides composés de dianhydride 3,4,3',4'-biphényltétracarboxylique, de dianhydride 3,4,3',4'-benzophénonetétracarboxylique et d'une diamine du type p-phénylènediamine, qui possèdent une température de transition vitreuse (Tg) élevée, une forte stabilité à l'oxydation thermique (TOS) et un faible taux de reprise d'humidité. Ces polymères polyimides s'avèrent utiles à la fabrication de matériaux structuraux.
