ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a new polymer suitable for coating feedstuffs, foods and drugs. The new polymer is sub- stantially insoluble in aqueous media at pH 5 or above, and is substantially completely soluble in aqueous media at pH 3 or below, characteristics which are especially important in the administration of certain feedstuffs, food supplements and drugs to ruminants. The new polymer is a copolymer of a) methyl methacrylate b) at least one monomer of the general formula III Image wherein R3 is a straight or branched alkyl group having 4-18 C, and R4 is hydrogen or methyl, and c) a monomer of the general formula I Image (I) wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and methyl, X is selected from the group consisting of =CH2, and =O, and n is an integer 1-4, preferably 2-3.
