The invention provides cell-adherent polymeric coatings for articles having a nanofibrillar structure. The coatings include a synthetic, non-biodegradable polymer having at least one pendent amine group, wherein the polymer is covalently immobilized on the article via latent reactive groups. The invention also provides methods for the long term culturing of cells using the polymer coated nanofibrillar structures. The polymer coated nanofibrillar structures of the invention have been found to be particularly useful for the growth and differentiation of cells, including neural precursors.
La présente invention concerne des revêtements polymères adhérant à la cellule destinés à des articles possédant une structure nanofibrilaire. Ces revêtements comprennent un polymère synthétique non biodégradable possédant au moins un groupe amine pendant, ce polymère étant immobilisé de manière covalente sur l'article via des groupes réactifs latents. Cette invention concerne aussi des procédés de culture à long terme de cellules utilisant ces structures nanofibrilaires revêtues de polymère. On a découvert que ces structures nanofibrilaires revêtues de polymère convenaient particulièrement pour la croissance et la différenciation de cellules, y compris des précurseurs neuronaux.
