T 4753 A B S T R A C T POLYMER COMPOSITIONS Provided are melt-stabilized polymer compositions comprising a linear alternating polymer of carbon monoxide and at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound, and a stabilizing quantity of at least a zinc compound, selected from the group of zinc compounds, consisting of: a) a zinc aluminate, and optionally an acidic polymer containing moieties of an .alpha.-olefin and an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, b) the reaction product of an oxy-bridged zinc-aluminium or zinc-titanium compound and an acidic polymer containing moieties of an .alpha.-olefln and an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid, and c) a partially zinc-neutralized acidic polymer containing moieties of an .alpha.-olefin and an .alpha.,.beta.-ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and salt of aluminium, magnesium or scandium.
