36 ABSTRACT Polymer Latices The invention concerns latices of vinyl polymers that are stable towards electrolytes and comprise a dispersion of particles of an average diameter from 0.03 to 5 µm. They are made up of a core of vinyl and/or diene polymer carrying carboxylic and/or sulphonate groups and a peripheral layer of vinyl polymer with terminal Image groups, and can be applied in reproduction, in the textile, paint and varnish, glue and paper indus- tries, for fixing proteins.
