A process is described for providing a polymer material from comprising the step of: blending as a first component one or more hydrophilic polymers, and as a second component one or more neutralising chemicals, in the complete or substantial absence of water. In the absence of water, the components will not be aqueous solutions such as those in WO 03/062321. Thus the components can be used in blending processes, and the present invention is able to form many other shapes and forms of material other than laminates on substrates.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de fournir un matériau polymère, qui consiste à mélanger comme premier composant au moins un polymère hydrophile, et comme second composant au moins un produit chimique neutralisant, en l'absence totale ou sensible d'eau. En l'absence d'eau, les composants ne seront pas des solutions aqueuses comme celles de WO 03/062321. Ainsi, les composants peuvent servir dans des procédés de mélange et, selon l'invention, on peut fabriquer, outre des laminés sur des substrats, de nombreuses autres formes de matériau.
