ABSTRACT A coating composition comprising a major amount of resin and a minor amount of a property-improving additive, said resin being: (A) a fluorocarbon resin selected from the group consisting of (1) perfluoroalkoxy tetrafluoroethylene copolymer resin (PFA), (2) ethylenechlorotrifluoro- ethylene copolymer resin (E-CTFE), (3) ethylenetetra- fluoroethylene copolymer resin (E-TFE), (4) poly- (vinylidine fluoride) resin (PVDF), (5) tetrafluoro- ethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer resin (FEP), (6) poly(chlorotrifluoroethylene) resin (CTFE), or a mixture of two or more of said fluorocarbon resins; (B) a poly(phenylene sulfide) (PPS); or (C) an inorganic material selected from the group consisting of a nitride, an oxide, a diboride, and a carbide of silicon, of zirconium, of tungsten or of boron; coatings and articles formed from a fused form of said composition and a method for forming said fused composition.
