The invention relates to polymer modified inorganic particles with a layer structure with an average particle diameter of 5 nm to 20000 nm, containing 20 to 5000 mass % interlamellarly, in relation to the anhydrous inorganic particle, of a mixture of aminoplasts and water. These polymer modified inorganic particles are produced by swelling the inorganic particles with aldehydes and then reacting the inorganic particles with multifunctional C1- C30 amino compounds. The invention also relates to plastics containing polymer modified particles with a layer structure and to semi-finished products and moulded materials produced from the same.

L'invention concerne des particules inorganiques modifiées par un polymère, à structure stratifiée, de diamètre moyen de particules compris entre 5 nm et 20000 nm, caractérisées en ce qu'elles renferment, en couches intermédiaires interlamellaires, 20 à 5000 % en masse, par rapport aux particules inorganiques anhydres, d'un mélange d'aminoplastes et d'eau, en ce que les particules inorganiques modifiées par un polymère sont fabriquées par gonflement des particules inorganiques avec des aldéhydes, suivie d'une réaction desdites particules inorganiques avec des composés amino multifonctionnels en C¿1?-C¿30?. L'invention concerne en outre des matières plastiques renfermant des particules modifiées par un polymère, à structure stratifiée, ainsi que des semi-produits et des produits moulés fabriqués en de telles matières plastiques.
