ABSTRACT Compounds of the formula (I) Image ( I ) where n' is 1, 2, 3 or 4 and X is S or S-S- where each A is Image where Y is H, C1 or Br, and preferably when used as a flame retardant at least on- Y is C1 or Br or Image where n2 is 0, 1 and n3 is 0, 1, R1, R2 and R3 are H, or straight or branched alkyl of 1 to 8 carbons, or Image where Y is the same as defined above; may be used in polymers as antioxidants or as synergists for antioxidants; prior anti- oxidants commonly diffuse out of the polymers at high concen- trations causing blooming, the present compounds avoid this problem and are especially useful for polymers employed in heat-shrinkable articles and electrical insulation.
