POLYMER RECOVERY Abstract of the Disclosure An improved process is provided for the recovery of a polymer from a solution thereof in an organic solvent by contact with steam and water wherein economics in the use of energy are achieved by controlling the contact of said solution with steam and water to provide a pre- determined amount of residual solvent in the polymer, said contact being under conditions of controlled temperature and pressure. Such a process may be used for the recovery, for example, of polybutadiene from a solution in a benzene-butene-1 mixture.
