A B S T R A C T This invention relates to a dental material comprising a polymeris- able monomer and/or a polymer suitable for dental purposes and a microfine inorganic filler which is present in a proportion of from 10 to 90% by weight of the material and has a particle size in the range from 10 to 400 m µ. Themechanical properties and polishing qualities of the dental material of this invention are better than materials not having the microfine inorganic filler described in this invention.
