Novel polymeric antimicrobials having spacer moieties between amine and/or ammonium moieties have good antifungal activity. These compounds are useful in pharmaceutical and cosmetic compositions as preservatives and in contact lens care compositions as preservatives and/or disinfectants.

Nouveaux antimicrobiens polymériques possédant une fraction d'espacement entre les fractions amine et/ou ammonium; ils possèdent une bonne activité antifongique. Ces composés sont utiles dans des compositions pharmaceutiques et cosmétiques, comme agents de conservation, et dans les compositions destinées au soin des lentilles cornéennes, comme agents de conservation et/ou désinfectants.
