ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improvement is provided in a belt cutting apparatus and method for making such apparatus. The apparatus utilizes a rotatable cutting instrument. The rotatable instrument includes a cooperative pair of support bodies each having a central axis and a plurality of rake-like cutting bars having a particular recited structure. Specified means support the bars on the respective bodies with the elongate axis parallel to, and in radially-spaced relation from, the central axis. Particularly recited angular displacements are provided for the rake-like cutting bars.
