NCP 36414 Abstract Polymeric Film A polymeric film comprises a substrate layer of polymeric material, an acidic primer layer and a coating layer comprising a layer mineral. The acidic primer layer is preferably formed from a composition comprising a polymer containing at least one free functional acid group and/or an additional acidic component. The layer mineral is preferably vermiculite. The polymeric film exhibits improved oxygen barrier properties and is particularly suitable for use as a packaging film.
