Polymer-based gas-containing contrast agents in which microbubbles of gas are encapsulated by non-polymerisable wall-forming block or graft copolymer surfactants. The polymer surfactants are preferably biodegradable and include block and graft copolymers containing linkages of formula (I): -(O)m-CO-O-C(R1R2)-O-CO-(O)n- (where R1 and R2 each represent a hydrogen atom or a carbon- attached monovalent organic group or R1 and R2 together form a carbon-attached divalent organic group and m and n are each zero or 1) which are themselves novel.
L'invention se rapporte à des agents de contraste contenant du gaz et à base de polymère dans lesquels les microbulles de gaz sont encapsulées dans des tensioactifs copolymères séquencés ou greffés formant une paroi non polymérisable. Les tensioactifs polymères sont de préférence biodégradables et comprennent des copolymères séquencés ou greffés contenant des liaisons de la formule (I): -(O)m-CO-O-C(R<1>R<2>)-O-CO-(O)n- dans laquelle R<1> et R<2> représentent chacun un atome d'hydrogène ou un groupe organique monovalent lié à un carbone, ou R<1> et R<2> forment ensemble un groupe organique divalent lié à un carbone, et m et n représentent chacun zéro ou 1. Ces copolymères séquencés ou greffés sont eux-mêmes nouveaux.
