ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A polymeric thermoplastic composition having an excellent balance of mechanical and thermal properties, improved impact-resistance and a good processability, comprising: (C1) a polyphenylene ether; (C2) an impact-resistant vinyl aromatic copolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic monomer and an acrylic monomer polymeri- zed and grafted on a rubbery substrate having a (Tg) lower than 0°C, and (C3) a compatibilizing agent consisting of a vinyl aromatic monomer and an ester of the (metha)acrylic acid block co- polymer.
