The invention relates to novel compounds having formula (I), wherein R1, R2 and R3, which may be identical or different, represent independently a hydrogen, a halogen, a hydroxy or hydroxyalkyl group at C1 to C15, and a linear or branched alkyl group at C1 to C15, a, b and c being independently included between 0 and 5. R4 is linked to the naphthalene unit at position 1, 2 or 3 via a -CH2-O- link and represents: either a divalent group which can be (co)polymerised with a monomer, in which case d is between 1 and 3; or a monovalent group which can be (co)polymerised with a monomer, in which case d is equal to 2 or 3. R5 is linked to the naphthalene unit at position 1, 2 or 3 and represents: a hydrogen, a halogen, a hydroxyalkyl group at C1 to C15, and a linear or branched alkyl group at C1 to C15, d being an integer of between 0 and 2, such that d+e = 3. The invention also relates to the method of synthesising said compounds and to the use thereof for the production of photochromic or photosensitive polymers.

L'invention concerne de nouveaux composés de formule (I) : dans laquelle R1, R2 et R3, identiques ou différents, représentent indépendamment : - un hydrogène ; - un halogène ; - un groupement hydroxy ou hydroxyalkyle en C1 à C15 ; - un groupement alkyle linéaire ou ramifié en C1 à C15 ; a, b et c étant indépendamment compris entre 0 et 5. R4 est lié au motif naphtalène en position 1, 2 ou 3 via une liaison -CH2-O- et représente : - soit, un groupe divalent (co)polymérisable avec un monomère ; d est alors compris entre 1 et 3 ; - soit un groupe monovalent (co)polymérisable avec un monomère ; d est alors égal à 2 ou 3 et R5 est lié au motif naphtalène en position 1, 2 ou 3 et représente : - un hydrogène, - un halogène, - un groupe hydroxyalkyle en C1 à C15, - un groupement alkyle linéaire ou ramifié en C1 à C15, et d est un entier compris entre 0 et 2 et tel que d+ e = 3. Elle concerne également le procédé de synthèse de ces composés et leur utilisation pour la fabrication de polymères photochromes ou photosensibles.
