An electrochemical cell (10) having improved sealing against leakage includes a cured sealant composition (40) adhesively bonded to the mating surface of components in the cell (10). The cured sealant composition includes reaction products of a polymerizable (meth)acrylate component and a boron-containing initiator. Such a sealant composition is particularly useful as an adhesive for plastic or plastic containing substrates disposed in the electrochemical cell (10).

L'invention concerne une cellule électrochimique (10) possédant un scellage anti-fuite amélioré et renfermant une composition d'agent d'étanchéité durcie (40) liée de manière adhésive à la surface d'appariement des composants de la cellule (10). Cette composition d'agent d'étanchéité durcie contient les produits de réaction d'un composé de (méth)acrylate polymérisable et d'un initiateur renfermant du bore. Une telle composition d'agent d'étanchéité est, notamment, utilisée en tant qu'adhésif pour du plastique ou des substrats contenant du plastique disposés dans la pile électrochimique (10).
