1,4-diketopyrrolopyrroles of the formula (see fig. I) in which R1 and R2 independently of one another are hydrogen, C12-C24alkyl, C6-C24alkyl which is interrupted one or more times by O or S, or are a group of the formula Image in which R5 is C4-C18alkyl or C5-C10cycloalkyl, R3 is a polymerizable reactive group, R4, if R1 and R2 are hydrogen, is C6-C24alkyl which is attached directly or by way of O or S to the benzene ring and is uninterrupted or is interrupted one or more times by O or S, and R4, if R1 and/or R2 are C12-C24alkyl, is C6-C24alkyl which is interrupted one or more times by O or S or is a group Image hydrogen, halogen, methyl, methoxy, CN or phenyl, or is the same as R3. The novel diketopyrrolopyrroles are suitable for preparing coloured polymers with unexpectedly advantageous colour effects.

Les nouveaux dicétopyrrolopyrroles peuvent servir à l'obtention de polymères colorés à effets de couleurs remarquablement intéressants.
