The polymerizable dental isolation barrier (28) has a monomer and an initiator. The barrier composition has at least one additive including a polymer strength reducer, a wet tissue adherence accentuator, and a reflective material. The polymer strength reducer is an organic compound that prevents complete polymerisation. The tissue adherence accentuator enables the barrier to adhere to a dental substrate even after polymerization. The reflective material lowers the reaction rate and lowers the production of excess heat to reduce patient discomfort and to avoid tissue damage.

L'invention concerne une barrière d'isolation dentaire polymérisable (28), comprenant un monomère et un initiateur. La barrière se compose d'au moins un additif contenant un agent réduisant la résistance de polymère, un agent accentuant l'adhérence au tissu et un matériau réfléchissant. Ledit agent de réduction de la résistance de polymère est un composé organique qui empêche la polymérisation complète. L'agent accentuant l'adhérence au tissu permet à la barrière d'adhérer à un substrat dentaire même après la polymérisation. Le matériau réfléchissant réduit la vitesse de réaction et la production de chaleur en excès afin de limiter l'inconfort du patient et d'empêcher les dommages aux tissus.
