The invention is directed to a composition comprising an organoborane/amine complex and an effective amount of an aluminum compound to inhibit curing of the organoborane/amine complex when used as part of a polymerization initiator system in a polymerizable composition containing one or more monomers, oligomers or polymers having olefinic unsaturation. The compositions of the invention can be used in polymerizable compositions, adhesive compositions and coatings compositions containing compounds having moieties which polymerize under free radical polymerization conditions.

La présente invention se rapporte à une composition comportant un complexe de type organoborane/amine et une quantité suffisante d'un composé d'aluminium pour inhiber la réticulation du complexe organoborane/amine en cas d'utilisation dans un système du type initiateur de polymérisation compris dans une composition polymérisable renfermant un ou plusieurs monomères, oligomères ou polymères à saturation oléfinique. Les compositions selon l'invention trouvent application dans les compositions polymérisables, les compositions adhésives et les compositions de revêtement renfermant des composés ayant des parties qui se polymérisent dans des conditions de polymérisation radicalaire.
