The present application relates to a process for polymerizing monomer and comonomer(s) utilizing a bulky ligand transition metal metallocene-type catalyst or catalyst system, where the process is operated in the absence of or with a low amount of any of the isomers of the comonomer(s). The level of these isomers in the process of the invention is eliminated or maintained below a threshold level. It has been discovered that removal of certain isomers of the comonomer used in a polymerization process using metallocene-type catalysts results in an improved process.

La présente demande concerne un procédé de polymérisation de monomères et de comonomères par utilisation d'un catalyseur de type de métallocène de métal de transition de ligand volumineux ou d'un système de catalyseur, le procédé s'effectuant en l'absence de n'importe lequel des isomères des comonomères ou en présence de ces isomères en faible quantité. Dans le procédé selon l'invention, ces isomères sont réduits ou maintenus au-dessous d'un niveau seuil. On a découvert que l'élimination de certains isomères du comonomère utilisé dans un procédé de polymérisation grâce à des catalyseurs de type de métallocène permet d'obtenir un procédé amélioré.
