PV 35674 ABSTRACT POLYMERS The invention provides a co-polymer comprising a hub portion from which radiate from 3 to 8 arms, where the hub portion being the residue of a trifunctional to octafunctional thiol and each arm is an addition polymer comprising structural units and functional units where the functional units contain hydrolysable group-bearing silicon atoms, optionally additional functional units each of which contain crosslinking groups that are the same or different and that are compatible with each other and the hydrolysable group-containing silicon atoms and optionally auxiliary functional units containing wetting groups.
