POLYMERS AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ELEMENTS CONTAINING SAME Abstract of Disclosure A water-insoluble polymeric mordant is described which comprises repeating units at least 1/3 of said repeating units having the formula: Image wherein R1 and R2 are hydrogen atoms or alkyl groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R3, R4 and R5 are alkyl groups containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms wherein the total number of carbon atoms in R3, R4 and R5 typically is at least 12 and X? is an anion. Mordants of this type are useful in photographic elements. -1-
