The present invention relates to a block copolymer prepared by ATRP, wherein the polymer chain terminal group is structurally modified with the functionally effective group of a lubricant or polymer additive selected from the group consisting of antioxidants, metal deactivators, antiwear and extreme pressure additives and corrosion inhibitors. The invention also relates to a composition comprising the structurally modified block copolymer and a composition of matter subject to oxidative, thermal or light induced degradation, such as lubricants or poly~mers.
L'invention concerne un copolymère séquencé préparé par polymérisation radicalaire par transfert d'atome (ARTP), dans lequel le groupe terminal de la chaîne polymère est modifié structurellement par un additif lubrifiant ou polymère sélectionné dans le groupe comprenant les antioxydants, les désactivateurs de métaux, les additifs anti-usure et extrême-pression et les inhibiteurs de corrosion. L'invention concerne également une composition comprenant ce copolymère séquencé structurellement modifié et une composition d'un produit sujet à la dégradation oxydative, thermique ou à une photodégradation tel qu'un lubrifiant ou un polymère.
