A polymethaphenylene isophthalamide based polymer porous film having excellent gas permeability and resistance to heat, and a satisfactory pore structure, which may be produced by a method comprising casting a dope of polymethaphenylene isophthalamide onto a support and coagulating it in a coagulation bath. The porous film may contain an inorganic whisker and may form a composite porous film together with another thermoplastic polymer film.
L'invention concerne un film poreux polymère à base de polyméthaphénylène isophtalamide présentant une perméabilité gazeuse et une résistance thermique excellentes, ainsi qu'une structure poreuse satisfaisante, que l'on peut produire selon un procédé qui consiste à mouler une pâte de polyméthaphénylène isophtalamide sur un support et à la coaguler dans un bain de coagulation. Le film poreux peut contenir une thrichite et former un film poreux composite ainsi qu'un autre film polymère thermoplastique.
