Polynucleotide probes and accessory helper oligonucleotides useful for detecting the subset of High (G+C) subset of Gram-positive bacteria known as the "Actinomycetes." The hybridization probes are highly specific for the Actinomycetes and do not cross-hybridize with the rRNA or rDNA of numerous other bacterial and fungal species.

La présente invention a pour objet des sondes polynucléotidiques et des oligonucléotides assistants auxilliaires utilises pour détecter le sous-ensemble du sous-ensemble supérieur (G+C) des bactéries Gram positives connues sous le nom d'actinomycènes. Les sondes d'hybridation présentent une haute spécificité pour les actinomycètes et ne subissent aucune hydridation croisée avec l'ARNr et l'ADNr des nombreuses autres espèces bactériennes et fongiques.
