An isolated polypeptide comprising, contiguously, a first amino acid sequence being at least 90 % homologous to amino acid coordinates 1-398 of SEQ ID NO: 2, a tryptophan residue and a second amino acid sequence being at least 90 % homologous to amino acid coordinates 400-523 of SEQ ID NO:2. Also provided are polynucleotide sequences encoding this polypeptide and uses of same in the treatment of medical conditions associated with ion channel insufficiency.

La présente invention concerne un polypeptide isolé comprenant, de façon contiguë, une première séquence d~acides aminés homologue à au moins 90 % aux acides aminés numérotés de 1 à 398 de la SEQ ID NO: 2, un résidu tryptophane et une seconde séquence d'acides aminés homologue à au moins 90 % aux acides aminés numérotés de 400 à 523 de la SEQ ID NO:2. La présente invention concerne également des séquences de polynucléotides codant pour ce polypeptide ainsi que l'utilisation des substances selon l'invention dans le traitement d'états pathologiques associés à une insuffisance des canaux ioniques.
