Thermoplastic polymer blends and formed articles made thereof which exhibit superior physical properties such as a combination of excellent scratch resistance, rigidity and impact toughness. The thermoplastic polyolefin blend includes from about 40 percent to about 80 percent of a base component of propylene-containing polymer; from about 5 percent to about 30 percent of a toughening component; and from about 5 percent to about 30 percent of a thermoplastic elastomer, preferably of a high styrene containing block or random copolymer. A preferred thermoplastic polyolefin blend includes between about 50 percent to about 70 percent of the base component; between about 10 percent to about 20 percent of the toughening component; and between about 5 percent to about 20 percent of the styrene block copolymer. Advantageously, the thermoplastic elastomer has greater than 50 percent by weight styrene monomer.
L'invention concerne des mélanges polymères thermoplastiques et des articles formés constitués de ces derniers, qui présentent des propriétés physiques, telles qu'une association de résistance aux griffures, de rigidité et de résistance au choc excellentes. Le mélange polyoléfinique thermoplastique contient de 40 % à 80 % environ d'un composant de base d'un polymère contenant un propylène, de 5 % à 30 % environ d'un composant de renforcement, et de 5 % à 30 % environ d'un élastomère thermoplastique, de préférence d'un copolymère bloc ou statistique à teneur élevée en styrène. L'élastomère thermoplastique possède avantageusement plus de 50 % en pds d'un monomère styrène.
