Abstract The stability of polyolefin resin compositions to thermal processing is improved by blending them with a phenolic compound represented by the general formula Image wherein R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C3 alkyl group, and a phosphite compound of 0.1 to 15 times by weight based on the phenolic compound. The invention provides a polyolefin composition having a high resistance to deterioration of the action of heat and oxygen.
