The present invention provides a polyolefin synthetic pulp comprising a linear ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer resin (A), a (co)polymer of an .alpha.-olefin of 3 or more carbon atoms (B) or an .alpha.-olefin/ethylene copolymer resin (C). Each of these resins has specific MFR and Mw/Mn values, respectively. Further, the resin (A) has a specific density, and the resins (B) and (C) each have a specific melting point. The synthetic pulp according to the present invention can provide heat-sealing papers which not only can be heat sealed at a temperature around a melting point of the raw material resin and thus have improved low- temperature heat sealability as compared to prior art polyolefin synthetic pulps, but also have excellent heat sealing strength.
