An active and selective hydrocarbon partial oxidation catalyst comprises an activated partially-reduced polyoxometallate, preferably niobium polyoxomolybdate, that is prepared from a suitable polyoxoanion, which has been exchanged with a suitable cation and activated by heating to an activation effective temperature in the presence of a suitable reducing agent such as pyridinium. C3 and C4 hydrocarbons may be partially oxidized selectively to acrylic acid and maleic acid.
L'invention concerne un catalyseur d'oxydation partielle d'hydrocarbures actif et sélectif comprenant un polyoxométallate activé partiellement réduit, de préférence un polyoxomolybdate de niobium, qui est préparé à partir d'un polyoxoanion approprié ayant été remplacé par un cation approprié et activé par chauffage à une température d'activation efficace, en présence d'un agent réducteur approprié tel que le pyridinium. L'invention permet d'oxyder partiellement des hydrocarbures C¿3? et C¿4? de manière sélective en acide acrylique et en acide maléique.
