This invention provides a heterotelechelic oligomer or polymer which is represented by the follow-ing formula: (see formula I) wherein A denotes a sugar residue, L denotes a linkage group represented by the following formula (see formula II or III) wherein R1 and R2 independently denote lower alkyl, aralkyl or aryl, X denotes a single bond or -CH2 CH2-, Z denotes a group forming an unsaturated ester or ether, or a functional group such as halogen which binds to -CH2 CH2-, n denotes an integer of -- 10,000, and m denotes an integer of 0 or 2 -- 10,000. This invention also provides a process to produce the above oligomer or polymer, and further a high molecular-micelle with use of a polyethylene oxide-polyester block polymer which has a sugar residue at its terminal. Said oligomer or polymer is expected to exhibit excellent bioavailability, and is also ex-pected to be utilized in the field such as carriers for drug delivery or diagnostic reagents.
L'invention concerne des oligomères hétérotéléchéliques représentés par la formule générale (I). Dans cette formule, A représente un groupe saccharide défini. L représente le groupe (Ia) ou (Ib) (où R<1> et R<2> représentent chacun d'une manière indépendante un alkyle inférieur, un aralkyle ou un aryle); X représente une liaison simple ou un groupe -CH2CH2-; Z représente un groupe fonctionnel, par exemple un groupe formant un éther ou un ester insaturé, un halogène lié à -CH2CH2-, etc.; n est un nombre compris entre 5 et 10000 et m est égal à 0 ou à un nombre compris entre 2 et 10000. L'invention concerne également des micelles contenant un polymère bloc constitué d'oxyde de polyéthylène ayant un groupe saccharide à une extrémité et d'un polyester. On s'attend à ce que ces oligomères ou polymères présentent une haute biodisponibilité et puissent être utilisés comme excipients pour des médicaments et dans le domaine des agents de diagnostic.
