This invention relates broadly to surgical instruments. More particularly, this invention relates to a surgical snare instrument (10) for excising polyps. Preferably, the instrument includes a coupling member that may increase ability to actuate the snare. According to a preferred embodiment, the present invention comprises a surgical instrument (10) for insertion through an endoscope having a handle and a working channel, said surgical instrument including an elongate flexible tubular sheath (12) having proximal (14) and distal ends (16); a flexible shaft (18) extending through and axially movable relative to the sheath (12), said shaft (18) having proximal (20) and distal ends (22); an end effector (24) coupled to or formed at said distal end of said shaft; (18) and a coupling member disposed at said distal end of said shaft.
L'invention concerne des instruments chirurgicaux en général, et plus particulièrement une anse (10) chirurgicale pour exciser des polypes. Cet instrument comprend de préférence un élément de couplage qui augmente la manoeuvrabilité de ladite anse.
