The present invention features polypeptides comprising an amino acid sequence structurally related to SEQ ID NO: 1, uses of such polypeptides, and expression systems for producing such polypeptides. SEQ ID NO: 1 is a truncated derivative of a full length <i>S. aureus</i> polypeptide. The full- length polypeptide is referred to herein as full-length ~ORF0657n~. Polypeptides containing the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1 were found to produce a protective immune response against <i>S. aureus</i>.
La présente invention a trait à des polypeptides comportant une séquence d'acides nucléiques associée structurellement à SEQ ID NO: 1, des utilisations de tels polypeptides, et des systèmes d'expression pour la production de tels polypeptides. SEQ ID NO: 1 est un dérivé tronqué d'un polypeptide S. aureus pleine longueur. Le polypeptide pleine longueur est désigné cadre de lecture ouvert 0657n pleine longueur. On a observé que des polypeptides contenant une séquence d'acides aminés de SEQ ID NO: 1 produisent une réponse immunitaire de protection contre S. aureus.
