POLYPHASE ASSEMBLY ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is provided a polyphase assembly for controlling A.C. devices and capable of producing an electrical impedance of a substantial resistive component. The assembly comprises a plurality of windings, separate for each phase, wound on and along a single, axially directed core. The core is constituted by at least one ferromagnetic body the air boundary to air boundary thickness of at least the portions of the core covered by the windings is greater than 1.6 mm.
